Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Dining Assistant Manager to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager or Director in the overall success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day service of the operation, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Lead and train frontline associates to provide scheduled retail services, including managing cash handling and implementing policies to eliminate theft of services or company funds.
  • Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports, providing accurate and timely information to support business decisions.
  • Implement and maintain cash handling procedures to ensure the security of company funds.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail operational supervisory or lead experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train associates to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
