About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by care providers and performing routine diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures and safety standards.
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Examine radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Develop and process radiologic film, delivering it to the requester for reading and interpretation.
  • Maintain the x-ray exam room, stocking necessary medical and radiological supplies, and cleaning and making minor adjustments to radiologic equipment.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures, as well as dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log.
  • Schedule radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary, and gather and prepare x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over-read.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree: Completion of an accredited radiology program.
  • SCRQSA license RSQA - RAD QUALITY STANDARD.
  • American Registry for Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification for Radiology.
  • New graduates must obtain and submit Permanent SCRQSA license within 30 days of passing ARRT registry.
Preferred Qualifications

One year of physician practice experience preferred.
