Job DescriptionIndustrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components for various projects.Responsibilities:
  • Select and prepare materials and equipment according to specifications.
  • Plan and execute welding layouts, assembly, and fabrication, applying knowledge of geometry and metal properties.
  • Operate various welding processes, including Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, and Shielded Metal Arc.
  • Lay out, position, and fit components together, using bolting, clamping, and welding techniques.
  • Connect and operate welding equipment, maintaining amperage, voltage, and pulse settings.
  • Inspect and test welds for quality and specifications.
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
  • Assist other mechanics and team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in the field or related area.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Basic mathematics skills to solve problems and plan work.
  • Visual acuity to inspect and test welds.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this job include regular talking and hearing, frequent sitting, and occasional standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
