Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Chief Medical Officer to join our team at ThedaCare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for all Medical Specialties in our Ambulatory Care Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for Medical Specialties in Ambulatory Care
  • Develop and implement innovative care delivery models to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners across the ThedaCare Health Network to deliver on system-wide quality metrics and outcomes
  • Oversee the quality of patient management, engage in clinical program development, and provide leadership in regulatory affairs
  • Assist medical and surgical specialty care providers with medical staff relationships within acute care facilities
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree and Board Certification in a medical specialty
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in Wisconsin
  • 5+ years of progressively more responsible experience in leadership and/or medical staff management roles
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in management and/or medical staff management roles, knowledge of management theory and health care trends, and an understanding of Medical Staff governance and peer review
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, MS, MHA or similar degree or progress toward one
  • Matrixed organizational experience
  • Thorough knowledge of hospital medical practice operations, strategic and operational planning, quality, healthcare economics, financial management, management of others, regulatory requirements, and current trends in the health care industry
