Job Title: Leasing Agent

At SOUTHWOOD REALTY, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Leasing Agent is responsible for greeting prospects, presenting the features and benefits of our properties, and securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. This role requires a service-oriented individual who can make current and prospective residents feel welcome and comfortable in our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a professional atmosphere in the leasing office and throughout the community.
  • Inspect models and market-ready vacancies daily.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and handle each call professionally.
  • Greet prospective residents, determine their needs, and present community features and benefits.
  • Maintain daily property advertising materials.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork related to prospective applications and leases.
  • Accept rents and deposits.
  • Ensure the physical well-being and curb appeal of our apartment communities.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience and good leasing and closing skills.
  • Ability to type 30 WPM.
  • Prefer 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Organizational skills are essential.
