HVAC Truck Based Mechanic (Union)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC systems mechanic to join our team. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service. Your expertise in light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets will be valuable in resolving building inefficiencies and service-related items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards and advancement.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers, and ammonia systems.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
  • Quote support for recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification, which is to be done after hours and weekends, upon hire.
  • Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical journeyman status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of commercial and/or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Refrigeration Certification preferred.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
