Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at PAR Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems for our naval defense products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for naval defense products, including electrohydraulic and electromechanical systems.
  • Lead complex engineering projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production control, purchasing, and quality, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering labor estimates, technical proposals, and bills of material.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying knowledge to improve existing designs and develop new solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in design and development of industrial or marine equipment, with a focus on electrohydraulic or electromechanical systems.
  • Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, including experience with Engineer-to-Order contracts.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software, including Solidworks, AutoCAD, and FEA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel as required (typically 5%).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineers (PE) License.
  • Master's degree in engineering or an MBA, or 15+ years of experience in designing industrial or marine equipment.
