Phlebotomist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Pride Health in Mount Pleasant, SC.

The ideal candidate will have excellent phlebotomy skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a 3+ month contract position with the possibility of converting to a full-time role.

• Location: Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
• Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 am - 4:00 pm
• Duration: 3+ Months

Patient Care: Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages, ensuring patient comfort and safety during the collection process.

Specimen Handling: Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms, adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, and properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.

Communication: Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal, prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.

Clinical Skills: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers, apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.

• High school diploma or equivalent, medical training preferred
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric care
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
