Director of Commercial Strategy for Dermatology Pipeline

About the Role:

The Director of Commercial Strategy for Dermatology Pipeline will lead the development of the long-range strategic marketing plan for key assets in AbbVie's pipeline and forward-looking disease area strategies. This role will contribute to the Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) disease area strategy and serve as the global commercial lead for HS assets across pipeline deliverable teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads brand strategy team for HS and collaborates with cross-functional pipeline partners to enable study execution pre-clinical through phase 3 until transition to the on-market team.
  • Conducts asset valuations to determine revenue potential with pipeline forecast, market access, and R&D teams to inform financial LRP, portfolio planning, and NPV analyses.
  • Develops appropriate SG&A investment to capture forecasted share that generates long-term value.
  • In collaboration with market research leader, identifies key future market; value drivers, segment growth opportunities, and target product profiles.
  • Leads development of early brand plans for asset transition to on-market teams.
  • Provides relevant commercial input regarding HCP and patient insights to inform scientific deliverable teams data generation plans to satisfy global and area requirements for target product label and potential product claims.
  • Acts as information conduit between pipeline, asset, and on-market commercial teams, fostering high collaboration and effective communication that optimizes asset opportunity.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external partners, including executive stakeholders, US/Global on-market commercial leads, and external physician experts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience required: Bachelor's degree, Pharma, biotech, or consultant firm experience, demonstrated learning agility, and ability to make decisions with less than perfect information.
  • 10+ years of experience with successful track record in pharma marketing and/or consulting roles.
