Position Summary:
As a Concrete Plant Equipment Maintenance Specialist at HRM Concrete, your primary responsibilities will include executing routine and preventive maintenance on plant machinery, diagnosing and rectifying mechanical issues, and ensuring minimal operational interruptions. This position demands a robust mechanical understanding, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on concrete plant machinery, such as mixers, conveyors, and batching systems.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems to guarantee optimal plant functionality.
- Implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce equipment malfunctions and downtime.
- Keep precise records of maintenance activities, including repairs and parts utilized.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks.
- Work collaboratively with plant management and colleagues to prioritize and schedule maintenance duties.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related discipline is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in plant maintenance, ideally within the concrete or construction sector.
- Proficient mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with concrete plant operations and equipment.
- Capability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capacity to work in diverse weather conditions and lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as necessary.
