We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Scientist to amplify the collective impact of the Data Science team at Noom.

This role requires a data expert who excels in analytics, machine learning, and system design.

The ideal candidate will help drive our product vision and business strategy by optimizing the Noom user experience, business operations, and financial decision-making through sophisticated data analysis and machine learning.

As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll partner with stakeholders across Noom to identify opportunities and implement scalable Data Science systems and working models that supercharge team and company impact.

You'll also drive technical scale by establishing development standards that guide how we build, QA, deploy, monitor, evaluate, and iterate in Data Science.

Additionally, you'll increase organizational scale by implementing new frameworks, skills training, and people processes across the Data Science team.

Actively seeking and implementing new and cutting-edge Data Science methods and technologies to drive business results is also a key responsibility.

Mentor Junior Team Members:

Provide guidance and mentorship to our team of data scientists and analysts, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of professional industry experience in data science with at least some focus on business operations, marketing, or financial analysis.

Expertise in statistical analysis and business metric definition, applied machine learning (including model evaluation), and optimization techniques.

Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark, and Git.

Experience working with both open source software and proprietary ML vendors.

GCP Vertex Platform.

Requirements:

Strong problem-solving and influence skills with the ability to perform complex quantitative analysis and use data to drive strategic decisions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences and executive leadership.

Demonstrated success working collaboratively in a team environment and independently defining and managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
