Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team at Monument Health. As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging examinations for both ambulatory and acute care environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform multi-modality procedures based on ARRT certification level, utilizing a variety of technical aspects that require judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Promote a cooperative and professional atmosphere with emphasis on patient care.
  • Work with patients in age group specific environments, adjusting technique and positions for optimal examinations.
  • Enter exams into the Radiology Information System, schedule radiology exams, educate patients on exam prep instructions, obtain correct orders and paperwork for records, billing, and communicate with Medical Staff as requested.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge needed for the PACS, share on call duties, and participate in upkeep of department, including cleanliness of work area, preventive maintenance, stocking of supplies, and reporting malfunctioning equipment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography Technologist Program.
  • ASRT Certificate - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Preferred: ARRT Advanced CT Registry, ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification.
