Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and performing floor care in an educational facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to company policies and customer guidelines while following supervisor directives.
  • Execute routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, classroom upkeep, library maintenance, gym cleaning, cafeteria tidying, trash disposal, and debris removal from the premises.
  • Assist with event setup and cleanup, including moving furniture and arranging spaces for gatherings.
  • Conduct floor and carpet maintenance during school breaks, which includes carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and finishing.
Work Schedule
  • Regular Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
  • Flexible Start Times: Earlier start times may be considered (no earlier than 3:30 PM).
  • Overtime Opportunities: Available.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly Wage: $16.45
  • Part-Time Employee Benefits (under 30 hours/week):
    • Accrued Paid Time Off (approximately 25 hours annually)
    • Semiannual Custodian Incentive Bonus (up to $0.50/hour extra)

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Preferred experience in commercial cleaning (experience in educational facilities is a plus).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills (English preferred).
  • Must pass a criminal background check for working in proximity to children.
  • Authorized to work in the United States (E-verify required).
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Must maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Proficient in using a smartphone for timekeeping purposes.
