Job Title: Electronics Manufacturing Technician

Pay Rate: $33.33/hr.

Job Overview:
The role involves the assembly of Power Electronics related to Electric Power Conversion products, including inverters, onboard chargers, and DC to DC converters. This position requires proficiency in using hand and power tools while adhering to detailed assembly instructions. Additionally, the technician will assist engineers in diagnosing common assembly failures and executing rework as per engineering directives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and solder prototypes for onboard chargers, DC to DC converters, and inverters.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on various projects by interpreting electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Provide manufacturing support in product design, new product development, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and testing.
  • Assist in the receiving and shipping processes of electronic components and finished products.
  • Manage material inventories and prepare parts for assembly.
  • Operate soldering equipment and conduct PCBA testing.
  • Aid in the development of testing methods and fixtures.
  • Contribute to the creation of work instructions and routers for manufacturing traceability.
  • Support factory production during the transition of products into the manufacturing phase.
  • Maintain equipment functionality through proper maintenance and repair, following established procedures.
  • Conduct verification tests on PCBA and units to ensure they meet design specifications.
  • Document test results and record any deviations from the original design in the build documentation.
  • Assist in the assembly of wire harnesses according to IPC/WHMA A-620C standards.
  • Perform rework on PCBA, including troubleshooting, inspection, and soldering tasks as directed by engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in an electrical field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in the industry.
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols.
  • Knowledge of IPC-610 standards for PCB inspection and J-001 solder acceptance criteria.
  • Experience in soldering to IPC Class 3 standards.
  • Basic understanding of IPC/WHMA A-620C harness standards.
  • Proficient in using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Desired experience in electro-mechanical control circuits and component specifications, including circuit board design and testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various departments and clients.
  • Basic knowledge of Google documents and JIRA.
