Qualifications for the RBT Role:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician from the BACB
- BCBA student status preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED
- Possession of a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire
Responsibilities of an RBT:
- Implement behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA
- Provide direct, one-on-one assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collect and analyze data to monitor individual progress and inform decision-making
- Assist in the creation and execution of personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the BCBA and team members to ensure effective intervention implementation
- Maintain regular communication with parents, caregivers, and stakeholders regarding progress and concerns
- Document sessions and progress reports accurately and thoroughly
- Participate in ongoing supervision and training sessions for professional growth
Physical Requirements:
Physical capabilities include walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
