Qualifications for the RBT Role:

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician from the BACB
  • BCBA student status preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire

Responsibilities of an RBT:

  • Implement behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA
  • Provide direct, one-on-one assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor individual progress and inform decision-making
  • Assist in the creation and execution of personalized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and team members to ensure effective intervention implementation
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, caregivers, and stakeholders regarding progress and concerns
  • Document sessions and progress reports accurately and thoroughly
  • Participate in ongoing supervision and training sessions for professional growth

Physical Requirements:

Physical capabilities include walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
