We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Everstaff in the Fairlawn area.
Responsibilities- Manage cases efficiently and effectively.
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records to support case management.
- Investigate insurance coverage to ensure accurate claims processing.
- Prepare and maintain damage summaries, including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage.
- Log and process daily mail to ensure timely communication.
- Prepare and forward medical records to insurance carriers as needed.
- Draft correspondence necessary for case management and communication with clients.
- Verify balances and assist with subrogation lien resolution to ensure accurate financial management.
- Prepare check requests, maintain check records, and mail checks to clients and vendors.
- Assist attorneys with settlement documentation and disbursements to ensure smooth case resolution.
- Prepare disbursement summaries to provide transparency and accountability.
- Highly proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel to ensure efficient communication and data management.
- Knowledge of legal practices and procedures to support case management and communication with clients.
- Familiarity with standard business practices and general office administration procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Strong command of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Proficiency in using computers and related software applications to support case management and data entry.
- Knowledge of research procedures to ensure accurate and efficient case management.
- Experience in preparing legal documentation to support case management and communication with clients.
- High School Diploma or GED required, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience and a Paralegal certificate.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
