Overview: The Retail Associate plays a vital role in managing daily transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring the gift shop is well-stocked. This position demands a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service by offering informed recommendations and demonstrating thorough knowledge of the products available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with their purchases and handle returns efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as necessary.
- Engage proactively with customers, providing insights and assistance regarding products.
- Deliver exemplary customer service to all visitors of the gift shop.
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Ensure the sales floor remains clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Prior experience in the retail sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- A strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to customer service are essential.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
