About the Role:
Ferrara/KME, a leading manufacturer of fire trucks and emergency response vehicles, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, moving parts and materials, and operating various material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure all material and inventory remains properly identified and stored.
- Moves parts, WIP, or finished products and delivers mail packages to various department or warehouse locations.
- Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts, or forklifts.
- Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with specified procedures.
- Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
Requirements:
- Preferred 1-year experience with manufacturing, inventory, or related functions.
- Preferred high school diploma or GED.
- Proficient in computer use for data entry, part scanning or transacting, and printing of picklists.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable inventory accuracy, quality, and time standards.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
- Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 lbs. without assistance. Ability to work with arms above head. Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area. Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
