Cardiovascular Sonographer Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiograms, stress tests, and other diagnostic procedures to assess cardiovascular health.
  • Assist cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms and other complex procedures.
  • Consult with cardiologists to interpret test results and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient testing and treatment.
  • Provide training and support to echocardiogram students, residents, and physicians.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a two-year cardiovascular technologist program.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) certification.
  • Experience in echo and vascular ultrasound preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to empathize with patients and families.
