Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate QSP Support Professional to join our team at Kalix. As a QSP Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support to eligible individuals who require ongoing daily assistance. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with and develop self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills that enhance the participant's ability to live independently and participate in an integrated community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist individuals with basic living and employment skills.
  • Assist individuals with personal cares as specified in service plans.
  • Assist individuals with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly living and working environment.
  • Assist and maintain an individual's schedule as needed.
  • Provide transportation as assigned.
  • Report all incidents of Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation.
  • Work as part of a team by demonstrating Agency values: Dependability, Adaptability, Professionalism, and Teamwork.
  • Utilize a positive interaction style and treat people with respect.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all individuals receiving services and protect the confidentiality of their health information.
  • Administer medications, insulin, and tubing feeding as assigned and certified.
  • Assist with menu planning and meal choices that follow recommended dietary guidelines and healthy choices.
  • Participate in staff training, in-service, and team meetings.
  • Collect data to monitor or make progress towards personal objectives.
Requirements
  • 18 years or older and a student in good standing.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • A driving record that makes you insurable.
  • Must complete a successful background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to be honest, reliable, dependable, and professional at all times.
  • Ability to respond to individuals receiving services with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to make sound, rational judgments regarding individuals receiving services.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
