About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Expert to join our Ecosystem Tech and Transformation team at The Spur Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing front-end and back-end web application architecture and enhancing and sustaining innovative solutions to improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently implement new features in a highly collaborative work environment alongside product managers and fellow engineers.
  • Write legible, resource-efficient, and performant code.
  • Collaborate with business partners and internal customers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Share technical solutions and product ideas through team planning, design review, pair programming, code review, and technical discussions.
  • Take on projects and make software enhancements that improve team software and processes.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of software development processes with active practice in Agile methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in administering and configuring AWS infrastructure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS, and Fargate, with a focus on infrastructure management and optimization beyond the basics.
  • Skilled in using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, with expertise in automating and scaling cloud environments.
  • Proficient in working with technologies like React, Angular 8+, Express, TypeScript, Core JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, or.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Experienced user of Application Lifecycle Management tools, such as Jira and GitLab.
  • Knowledgeable in monitoring and analyzing infrastructure using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana, and familiarity with distributed streaming platforms such as Kafka.
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or ArgoCD, with a solid understanding of implementing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines.

Additional Information

The Spur Group is a consulting firm based in Bellevue, WA. In our hybrid working environment, our general working hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday. While we strive for work/life harmony, client work may extend beyond these hours and may require flexibility in work arrangements.

The base compensation range for this full-time position is between $110,000-$130,000 plus benefits. Compensation decisions are supported through market data, where regional variances may exist based on cost of labor. We also take into consideration prior experience, relevant skills, education and/or training, certifications, and, as applicable, other required qualifications.
