Job Title: Principal Financial Planning Specialist

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Principal Financial Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies across our operations in McKinney.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain long-range plans (LRPs) across multiple programs, requiring process leadership, verbal, and written communications, and forecast recommendations to program, functional, and product line leadership.
  • Manage and analyze the portfolio's annual operating plan, overseeing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, including key metric reporting required at the program and product line levels.
  • Provide financial leadership for new business investing, including budgeting, reporting, and oversight of discretionary expenditures, working independently with portfolio executives on budget development, project approvals, and forecast maintenance.
  • Interface with EOIR financial planning, responsible for the monthly close process required within the portfolio in support of accounting policy and requirements.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • 5 years of related experience in financial planning, program business analysis, and/or accounting commensurate with the roles and responsibilities of the assignment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphing, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with APEX (SAP) and Business Warehouse (BW).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
  • Ability to work with geographically diverse teams.
  • Advanced data analysis and mathematical skills are preferred.
  • Experience preparing presentation packages for executive level review.
  • Energetic self-starter with good organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in FP&A concepts, related systems, and processes.
