Manufacturing Director

GREAT LAKES ACCOUNTING LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Director to lead our production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, effective maintenance, and seamless shipping/receiving processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet company goals and deadlines.
2. Ensure production processes adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and company protocols.
3. Analyze production metrics and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
4. Oversee the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and finished products.
5. Coordinate with vendors and logistics partners to maintain smooth supply chain operations.
6. Manage inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
7. Implement systems for inventory tracking, stock rotation, and accuracy in reporting.
8. Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies promptly.
9. Supervise the maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure minimal downtime.
10. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan.
11. Lead, train, and mentor plant staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in plant management, production, or a similar role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of production management, shipping/receiving operations, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and drive operational improvements.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
