We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Permanency Specialist to join our team at SJRC Texas. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in promoting the well-being of children in our Permanency Program.

• Manage a caseload of Permanency cases, assessing the need for placement, safety, family strengths, and needs.
• Plan for and facilitate permanency, assisting care providers and kinship caregivers in providing a safe, nurturing environment for children in their care.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with public and private agencies involved in providing Permanency and Adoption services.
• Conduct assessments, case planning conferences, and home visits to ensure the accuracy, content, and completeness of child/family case records.
• Coordinate Permanency Program requirements with public and private agencies, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services to children and families.

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Child Welfare or a related field, plus two years of relevant work experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License, safe driving record, and ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance.
• Training/Licensure/Certifications as required by SJRC Texas/Belong.

This position requires the ability to work in an emotionally charged environment, interacting with children and families in various settings, including home visits and meetings. The employee must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and possess the stamina to work long days and drive long distances.
