We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adult Therapist to join our team at Lakewood Counseling Center. As a key member of our counseling clinic, you will provide advanced-level mental health treatment to individuals and groups, utilizing sound theoretical principles and knowledge of the special issues and needs of our diverse population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and diagnostic impressions utilizing the DSM
  • Develop and implement treatment strategies to meet the multifaceted needs of our clients
  • Coordinate discharge planning activities and provide individual and group therapy
  • Interface with internal and external treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Master's degree or above in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy, or a closely related field
  • Missouri licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Knowledge of psychiatric terminology and the process of psychiatric diagnosis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to demonstrate good independent judgment and adapt to new duties and a changing environment
