About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to lead the design of multiple databases with complex entities, objects, and relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with relational databases and non-relational databases, as well as distributed databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and define software requirements to determine specifications and standards.
- Propose software solutions and determine the cost of new and modified systems.
- Develop, design, and edit original applications or modify third-party applications.
- Test and approve applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient optimized databases.
- Develop data models and database architecture for multiple applications.
- Perform transformation, migration, and scripting tasks.
- Collaborate with software developers to maximize database functionality.
- Monitor database performance and conduct regular system updates.
- Ensure data security and integrity through backups and access controls.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues.

- Salary Range: $53,000 to $172,000
- 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) days + 10 paid holidays per year

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any STEM field and 5 years DBA experience
- Proven working experience in software engineering with a solid background in relevant technologies
Preferred Skills
- Database and Information Architecture Design
- Proficiency in SQL for managing relational databases
- Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms
- Expertise in Database design, ETL processes, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with automation and scripting
- Experience with Backup and Recovery, Data Import/Export Technologies
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience
