Patient Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Patient Safety Specialist to join our Trauma Team. This individual will work clinically with healthcare providers to assess and manage patients from injury through rehabilitation.
About the Role
The Patient Safety Specialist is responsible for monitoring clinical processes, outcomes, and system issues related to quality of care provided, as well as conducting prospective chart reviews and providing feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing clinical protocols and practice management guidelines.
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory organizations, including the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
- Providing feedback and facilitating performance improvement activities.
- Supervising the collection, coding, scoring, and development of processes for data validation.
Requirements
A Bachelor's Level Degree is required, along with a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant license in Connecticut. Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) and Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) are also preferred.
