Our services are designed to bridge the gap between primary care and emergency care, providing prompt and effective treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Our team of experienced healthcare professionals is dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a timely and efficient manner.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a per diem registered nurse to join our team at Pentucket Medical ExpressCare. As a per diem RN, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and competent care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of equipment and aiding physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
- Traveling to alternate offices as necessary and performing all duties required by each location
- Delegating tasks to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants
- Monitoring the nursing in-basket for prescription requests and routing them to the appropriate clinician
- Effectively triaging patients and assisting other members of the team with the rooming process as necessary
- Escalating any concerning patient conditions or decompensation to the clinician immediately
- Administering medications and treatments per protocol
- Monitoring and maintaining code carts, AEDs, and ordering supplies as necessary
- Responding to same-day messages and logging into the appropriate location according to protocol
- Assisting in supervising new staff in clinical tasks
- Attending meetings, workshops, and training classes and participating in committees as requested
- Maintaining professional affiliations and participating in professional development activities
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications
To be considered for this per diem RN position, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing
- A license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- 2-5 years of nursing experience
- Urgent care or ED experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
