Job Description and Duties

As a Hydroelectric Plant Electrician II, you will exercise lead responsibility and work with a crew engaged in the installation, repair, and maintenance of large hydroelectric plant and aqueduct electrical equipment. This includes generators, pump-turbines, CO2 fire protection systems, alarm systems, large motors, transformers, circuit breakers, switches, relays, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, wiring, cable installations, and all circuitry and electrical control devices associated with this equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment in hydroelectric plants and aqueducts.
  • Work with a crew to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve electrical issues and ensure system reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve electrical system efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Background check prior to appointment and every seven years thereafter.
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
