Occupational Therapist - Contract Position

Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist passionate about working with children in an educational environment? Soliant has an exciting opportunity available for a contract Occupational Therapist near Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities to determine individualized therapy goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and interventions tailored to address each student's unique needs and facilitate their progress.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student care.
  • Monitor and document students' progress meticulously, adjusting therapy interventions as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Offer training and support to teachers and staff on strategies and accommodations that promote students' functional independence and participation within the school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including therapy plans, progress reports, and billing documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid State Occupational Therapist license.
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process and experience collaborating with special education teams.
  • Strong understanding of various therapy techniques and interventions for children with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet student needs and documentation requirements.
