Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Engineering Faculty member to join our team at Bob Jones University. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and advising students in the area of engineering, teaching engineering courses related to their area of expertise, and contributing to the development of our engineering program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and advise students in the area of engineering, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.
  • Teach engineering courses related to your area of expertise, using a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage and inspire students.
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering program, including curriculum design, course development, and program assessment.
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives, such as faculty development programs and committee work.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in engineering with expertise in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Master's Degree required; PhD and/or P.E. certification preferred.
  • College classroom teaching experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with teaching and mentoring students in a higher education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to a biblically consistent view of science and engineering.
