Instrumentation & Controls Specialist

Position Overview:

The role of the Instrumentation & Controls Specialist involves critical responsibilities in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for the installation, maintenance, and repair of essential systems.
  • Develop and implement process monitoring and control solutions utilizing specific instrumentation and communication devices.
  • Diagnose, install, and calibrate a variety of instruments, such as ultrasonic level transmitters and flow measurement devices.
  • Employ a diverse array of testing equipment, computers, and tools to conduct tests and calibrations effectively.
  • Install, program, inspect, and fine-tune instrumentation and associated systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant machinery, pumps, motors, and the SCADA infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation and controls or a related field.
  • Preference given to candidates with an associate's degree in a relevant discipline or military training.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
