About the Role

At Northwestern Mutual Careers, we're seeking a skilled Master Carpenter & Locksmith to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. As a key member of our facilities team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Downtown and Franklin Campuses.

Job Description

We're looking for a highly experienced Carpenter/Locksmith with a strong background in commercial construction, carpentry, and locksmithing services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing various carpentry and locksmithing tasks, including building modifications and maintenance.
  • Assisting with the installation and maintenance of locks, electric strikes, and programmable electronic locks.
  • Designing and implementing small master key systems.
  • Providing expert advice on lock security systems and recommending solutions to improve facility security.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial construction or carpentry experience.
  • Certification as a locksmith from a recognized institution or trade school.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Strong working knowledge of mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and three-dimensional figures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.31-$31.96 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to your base pay, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
