Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure the cleaning and sanitization of the production area and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.

2. Disassemble and reassemble production machinery for thorough cleaning.

3. Guide and train staff on the correct use of protective gear.

4. Properly label and manage all cleaning chemicals.

5. Educate all personnel on best practices for safety and health.

6. Verify that all machines are clear and ready before production commences.

7. Act as a substitute for the Sanitation Supervisor in their absence.

8. Adhere to company safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices.

9. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality due to the collaborative nature of the work environment.

Job Requirements

1. A minimum of 2 years of sanitation experience in the food sector is preferred.

2. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

Working Environment

1. Operate within a refrigerated food manufacturing facility.

2. The work environment may vary between wet and dry conditions, with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F.

3. Regular exposure to hazardous materials and waste is expected.

4. Frequent lifting, kneeling, and bending with items weighing up to 80 lbs. is necessary.

5. Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements are required.

6. Production demands may necessitate overtime and/or evening or weekend shifts.
