About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Texas Health Huguley Hospital. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy programs for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations, including chart reviews, accepted evaluation methods, and appropriate evaluation tools.
  • Develop realistic short-term and long-term goals, demonstrating creativity, skill, and efficiency in designing and implementing treatment programs.
  • Implement treatment programs in accordance with initial assessments and physician orders, meeting patient needs with no more than two incidents per year.
  • Review medical records daily or more frequently as needed to gain information pertinent to services rendered by the Speech-Language Pathologist.
Requirements
  • Masters degree, M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or be in process of initiating and/or completing the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Current Texas License or temporary license from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Experience and training with age ranges from late adolescents to geriatrics preferred, but not required.
