Job Overview

Mistral Inc. is seeking a seasoned Defense Contracting Program Lead to oversee government programs across various sectors, including electric tactical vehicles, training aids for drug and explosive detection, and equipment enhancing situational awareness of tactical vehicles.

This in-office role requires collaboration with global teams and comes with full-time, high-profile responsibilities. The position is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

The successful candidate will manage program management activities for all relevant Government contracts, plan timelines, organize tracking, and develop program metrics/key milestones in conjunction with Business Development/Sales personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Program Management activities for all relevant Government contracts.
  • Plan and organize relevant program(s) timeline and tracking.
  • In conjunction with Business Development/Sales personnel, develop program metrics/key milestones.
  • Ensure performance to program requirements.
  • Responsible for program timing, quality, and budget (full accountability).
  • Maintain communication to upper management on program risks and risk resolution.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Deal with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools, for the successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Business Development/Sales personnel in their capture management tasks, responding to RFQs, preparing proposals, and on-time delivery of goods.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with the government and partner stakeholders.
  • Exert mature leadership and clearly communicate goals and objectives to the company's clients. Keeping client informed on a regular basis and achieve planned goals and objectives.
  • Work in close coordination with the client, end-users, OEMs, system integrators, and prime government contractors.
  • Participate in trade shows and attend seminars & symposiums, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
