Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Collect and process blood, urine, and other specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Administer immunizations and injections, and perform minor office procedures as directed by providers.
  • Evaluate and document patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Prepare and record patient information, including prescriptions and medical correspondence.
  • Refill prescriptions and assist with scribing for providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and records.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Practice universal precautions and handle specimens with caution.
  • Explain laboratory test procedures and results to patients.
  • Manage and maintain State Immunization Portal and other medical records.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Certification from AAMA or AMT required within 90 days of hire date.
