Director of Nursing Opportunity at Springpoint Living

Springpoint Living is seeking a highly experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Health Services Department. As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operation of the department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards and regulations. Your goal will be to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in periodic corporate review of written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Health Services Department.
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary, concerning the operation of the Health Services Department.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Health Services Department, developing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting.
  • Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility as assigned, including Quality Assessment and Assurance and CARF-CCAC accreditation.
  • Determine the staffing requirements of the Health Services Department necessary to meet the total nursing needs of the residents.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual performance reviews for the nursing service personnel.
  • Implement and maintain an effective orientation program that orients the new employee to the facility, its policies, and procedures, and to his/her job position and duties.
  • Attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep abreast of changes in the profession, as well as to ensure your license is up to date.
  • Prepare and plan the Health Services Department's budget and submit it to the Administrator for review, recommendations, and approval.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Healthcare or related field required
  • Valid NJ RN License required
  • At least 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in a Long-Term Care /Skilled Nursing /Sub-Acute Facility
  • ANCC Certification in Gerontology Preferred

Salary: $100,000.00 /year
