Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Cashier to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences for customers
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor and stock rooms
  • Assist customers with finding products and answering questions
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Assist with Omni channel processes
Requirements
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
Work Environment

Public retail store setting taking care of our customers; all public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks; Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings
