Position Overview

Our client is in search of a proficient C++ low latency developer to enhance their thriving, fully automated trading operations across various asset classes.

This role involves hands-on participation throughout the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to final implementation, along with ongoing support for internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers to improve the functionality and efficiency of the company’s advanced trading platform, which manages substantial trading volumes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art market connectivity systems.
  • Collaborate closely with algorithm developers and traders to address diverse requirements.
  • Ensure that order management aligns with optimal execution standards.
  • Engage continuously with colleagues and business leaders to foster mutual skill enhancement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with C/C++, particularly with C++17 and templates.
  • Expertise in low latency programming, performance optimization, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with FIX and Binary Connectivity Protocols.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP and multicast.
  • FPGA knowledge is advantageous for a low-level comprehension of socket operations.
  • Experience with Market Data feed handlers and Client/Market Connectivity solutions.
  • Understanding of investment management processes and trading execution frameworks.
  • Experience in Linux development environments.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting or equivalent languages.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics or Computer Science (MSc/Ph.D.).
  • A collaborative team player capable of creating robust software components.
  • Solid experience in analyzing and structuring large datasets.
  • Knowledge of trading practices and market microstructure.
