Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a dedicated solo Class A CDL driver to join our team. As a driver with Ryder, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver freight to designated locations, following established routes and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Load and unload freight, or assist in the loading/unloading process as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Have verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle, with at least 9 months of experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
