Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at Yale-New Haven Health. Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments to identify patients' needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Counseling and Psychotherapy: Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy to patients and families.
  • Crisis Intervention: Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to address patients' immediate needs.
  • Mental Health Consultation: Provide mental health consultation to interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Participate in teaching and mentoring activities to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited school of social work.
  • Experience: 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision (for Connecticut) or 24 months of experience licensed as a licensed clinical social worker under appropriate supervision (for Rhode Island).
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from the State of Connecticut or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Rhode Island.
  • Special Skills: Empathy, active listening, critical thinking, strong organizational and computer skills, and effective communication and advocacy skills.
