Role SummaryThe Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a vital role in upholding our Quality Management System while spearheading enhancements through various projects. This position is essential for resolving daily quality challenges and leading initiatives to improve processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational and communication abilities, showcasing experience in project management and process optimization. The core responsibilities include:
- Enhancing existing products and processes to boost efficiency and product quality.
- Developing and proposing engineering solutions to tackle capacity, cost, and quality challenges.
- Establishing and documenting specifications in alignment with industry standards to fulfill product and customer requirements.
- Leading Practical Process Improvements (PPI) initiatives with cross-functional teams utilizing lean methodologies.
- Preparing and presenting analytical reports to stakeholders.
- Updating manufacturing documentation to resolve production issues and enhance quality.
- Coordinating validation processes for instruments and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Promoting safety enhancements to ensure a secure working environment.
- Creating and reviewing project proposals in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Managing project costs, documentation, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of key objectives.
- Effectively communicating challenges and securing necessary support for resolutions.
- Conducting investigations within our Quality Management System to identify solutions for process deviations.
- Participating in audits and addressing any findings.
- Implementing corrective and preventative measures as needed.
- Collaborating with vendors for scheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Sciences (preferred: Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year in an ISO or cGMP regulated setting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and a basic understanding of cost accounting.
- Experience with Process Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen).
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams on diverse projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and tools.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and diligent in executing responsibilities.
