Job Summary:

This is a permanent full-time position that requires a high level of mechanical expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, utilizing diagnostic computer tools and techniques
  • Inspect and repair or replace defective components as needed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop area
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation to track work and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair or a related field, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in diesel engine repair, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
