About This Role
Surgical care is a highly specialized field that requires dedicated professionals to ensure safe and efficient surgical outcomes. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse with TotalMed Staffing, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide specialized nursing care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety. This includes preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining aseptic conditions. Collaborating with surgical teams to assist with procedures, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members is also essential. Additionally, monitoring patient vital signs and assisting with anesthesia administration and airway management as needed during surgery are key responsibilities. After surgery, providing postoperative care, including wound care, monitoring recovery, and educating patients and their families on postoperative instructions and self-care, is critical to successful patient outcomes.
