Job Title: SLP/CCC/Speech Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Hawthorne Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group speech sessions to students with speech and hearing handicaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 30-minute individual and group speech sessions per student IEP
  • Manage schedule to maximize IEP compliance
  • Attend meetings with parents, classroom teachers, and school district representatives
  • Write quarterly progress reports on progress toward IEP objectives
  • Write progress notes for case reviews and special meetings
  • Measure learning continuously and document on daily session notes
  • Complete PSI modules
  • Attend biweekly staff meetings
  • Work on special assignments with Program Coordinator
  • Maintain full caseload to meet state mandated productivity levels
  • Assist with documentation audits as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum Baccalaureate Degree
  • New York State Teaching Certificate (TSHH) or (TSLD)
  • Speech Language Pathologist Licensed

Physical Responsibilities:

  • Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during work hours
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately

Salary: $64,288 - $94,445 per year
