POSITION SUMMARY

A Facilities Maintenance Technician is needed to manage the repair and maintenance of hotel facilities, ensuring compliance with our quality standards while prioritizing guest satisfaction and safety.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Ideally, candidates should have at least one (1) year of experience in general maintenance and repairs.
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Respond to and resolve guest maintenance requests, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Effectively address maintenance concerns through direct communication with guests, requiring minimal oversight.
  • Handle guest inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly to maintain exceptional service quality.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer to ensure optimal property condition.
  • Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed.
  • Keep a daily log of activities and communicate issues to other shifts through established channels.
  • Conduct advanced repairs on physical structures, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Troubleshoot and fix various systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more.
  • Adhere to hotel safety protocols, utilize safety gear, and report any incidents immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to facilitate efficient task performance.
  • Carry out additional job-related responsibilities as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Physical Requirements: The position necessitates the ability to lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, with heavier items requiring help. The role involves movement on stairs, ladders, and includes standing, walking, and bending throughout the work shift.

Given the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs. Attendance at scheduled training sessions and meetings is compulsory.
