Job Summary:

The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools and processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer support and troubleshooting for current production, investigate and analyze data to implement solutions.
  • Improve Material Flow and Presentation: Develop and implement plans to support Lean Manufacturing, improve material flow and material presentation.
  • Lead Time Studies: Conduct lead time studies for capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Document and Communicate: Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
  • 3-5 years of applicable manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude through work experience or hobbies.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
  • Must be a self-starter, good communication skills, able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in a production environment working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly operations.
  • Experience working with performance-based pay plans and labor standards for performing work.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis.
  • Database Management.
