Service Greeter/Porter Job Description

At Sonic Automotive, we're committed to providing exceptional customer service and a seamless experience for our clients. As a Service Greeter/Porter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of service traffic and maintaining a clean and safe service area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers entering the service area with a friendly and professional attitude, answering their questions and directing them to the appropriate person or location.
  • Determine if customers have an appointment, recording their name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage.
  • Control service traffic flow, parking, and assist with loaner vehicles as needed.
  • Drive safely and report any lot damage immediately.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles at the cashier for pick-up, wait for the customer, and thank them for their business.
  • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
  • Deliver keys and repair order hard copies to the Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot.
  • Maintain a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt.
  • Drive vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lots as needed.
  • Make key tags for vehicles.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
