Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Level II

Job Summary:
Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound procedures with accuracy and precision. Your expertise will help us provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the advancement of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
Proficiently operate ultrasound equipment to perform a range of procedures, including general, vascular, and cardiac studies.
Accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders.
Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians.
Serve as a technical resource, role model, and preceptor for students and staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:
Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 0 months.
Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) within 0 months.
Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) within 0 months.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography, including completion of an accredited or approved program.
Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Sonographer role.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing.
